We would like to extend a warm welcome to you all and thank you for your interest in our school. At Rynfield Pre-Primary, we believe in nurturing children in a safe, happy, and stimulating environment where they can grow, learn, and develop to their full potential. As a registered non-profit organisation affiliated with Rynfield Primary School, we welcome prospective families to make an appointment to visit & view our school. We look forward to meeting you & sharing our nurturing environment.
Rynfield Pre-Primary School has a proud history of serving the Benoni community for more than 50 years.
Founded in January 1971 by The Benoni Round Table, the school was originally known as Rynfield Nursery School before becoming affectionately known as Rynfield Pre-Primary School on 23 February 1994. Today, under the dedicated leadership of our principal, Mrs. Cathy Beretta — who has guided the school with passion for over 30 years — Rynfield Pre-Primary continues to provide stability, excellence, and a nurturing environment for young children.
The school is administered and as a non-profit organization by a Governing Body, made up of parents and the principal.
We are officially affiliated with Rynfield Primary School, and we enjoy a close liaison with the Foundation Phase staff. Even though we are affiliated with R.P.S, this does not guarantee your child a place at the school for Grade 1. All Grade R parents must register on the GDE website for Grade 1 enrolments at a public primary school.
At Rynfield Pre-Primary School, we aim to support the holistic development of every child – physically, mentally, emotionally and socially. The teachers keep up to date by attending courses to keep in touch with the latest teaching methods.
At our school, your child is prepared for the process of formal learning. Hands on active learning suits the needs of the child at this age. He/she therefore learns through play and experience at school.
Our toddler group learn through plenty of sensory play, practical learning, repetitive opportunities, trial and error experiences and exploration in a safe, loving, and caring environment.
We believe that every child has a unique potential, and our goal is to help them grow into happy, confident children.
Each teacher plans lessons around a weekly learning theme that is both fun and structured, designed to build knowledge and spark curiosity. As a play-based school, we believe children learn best through hands-on experiences, exploration, and creative play.
